Flexicel has received confirmation from Saica that the energy recovery (RDF) tests carried out on our non-hazardous waste code LER 200301 have been successful.
Following technical monitoring initiated last year, the results obtained allow us to move forward towards a more efficient and sustainable waste management model by incorporating this waste stream into energy recovery processes.
This milestone represents:
- An estimated cost reduction of 25% per tonne.
- More than 70% of the non-hazardous waste generated being allocated to energy recovery.
Collections of non-hazardous waste for energy recovery have been underway since the beginning of March.
