Basotect® is an open-cell melamine foam known for its high acoustic absorption, low weight, and excellent fire performance. It is ideal for applications in interior architecture, HVAC, industry, and transport.
We manufacture custom panels and components with high-precision machining (cutting, milling, die-cutting) and adhesive options for fast installation.
The range also includes Basotect® EcoBalanced and Basotect® Dark EcoBalanced, combining technical performance with contemporary aesthetics and a reduced CO₂ footprint.
Key benefits
Outstanding acoustic performance even at low thicknesses.
Extremely lightweight, reducing load on ceilings, walls, or vehicles.
Excellent flame resistance without additional flame retardants (depending on thickness and applicable certification).
High thermal stability and consistent properties across a wide temperature range.
Precision machining: clean cutting, milling, and accurate die-cutting.
Advanced aesthetic options with Basotect® Dark EcoBalanced: homogeneous dark colour, modern appearance, and lower sensitivity to dirt during installation.
"Drop-in” solution: same performance as Basotect® B EcoBalanced without requalification or investment in new machinery.
Sustainability
EcoBalanced — reduced environmental impact
Basotect® EcoBalanced and Dark EcoBalanced belong to a product family with up to 50% lower PCF compared to standard grades.
They are manufactured using:
100% renewable energy
Substitution of fossil raw materials with renewable feedstock from biowaste, allocated via mass balance certified under REDcert² / ISCC PLUS
Full PCF data transparency to support sustainability goals
This combination enables more sustainable products without compromising performance, safety, or aesthetics.
Material options
